Full-time Victim Advocate Serving Dearborn and Ohio Counties

Safe Passage, a best in class provider of residential and non-residential services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, is currently seeking a social service professional to join our dynamic team in providing advocacy, support and case management in the Dearborn and Ohio County areas.

Responsibilities include:

Working with a professional team to conduct client assessments; provide Protective Order assistance and court accompaniment; assist with activities related to the client case plan; serve as a support and liaison with other social service agencies; advocate on behalf of clients in various settings; engage in community outreach and education about domestic violence.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, human services or related field required. Minimum 2 years of direct social service experience preferred. Experience working with victims of domestic violence a plus. Candidates must exhibit a positive, enthusiastic manner and embrace a team atmosphere of positivity and respect. Must support the agency’s philosophy of trauma-informed care. Strong, effective communication skills and attention to detail with documentation and outcomes reporting required. Should possess intermediate to advanced computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft office, excel and email. Must be willing to travel throughout local counties, have reliable transportation with current driver license and auto insurance.
